From the desk of Mark Klang
Dear Rocklin Residents,
The Rocklin City Council has squandered our tax dollars while raising taxes and cutting services. They have cut the budgets of police and fire departments. We now have longer response times and a less secure city. They have passed an alarm tax, park tax, and increased fees on your cable bill.
Look how they really spent your tax dollars. Below are managers that retired last December and were hired back PART-TIME with the following salaries:
-
City Manager - $137,000
- Police Chief - $118,000
- Assistant City Manager - $100,000
- Battalion Chief - $70,000
- Police Lieutenant - $68,000
- Chief Building Official - $67,000
- Senior Engineer - $60,000
Some of these PART-TIME salaries are greater than most people make for full-time work. The City Council has eliminated jobs and reduced hours so they can pay off their friends. This proves that the "good ole boys" network is alive and well in Rocklin.
If elected, I will put an immediate end to this unethical practice. Like Congress, the Rocklin City Council no longer believes it must answer to the voters.
